Are you an experienced educator looking to make a splash in a vibrant coastal community? We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Year 5 Teacher to join a friendly primary school in Shoreham-by-Sea for the upcoming Summer Term.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a curious, energetic cohort through their penultimate year of primary school, ensuring they are confident and ready for the leap to Year 6.
The Role
We are looking for a teacher who can hit the ground running. As the Year 5 lead, you will be responsible for:
Planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire a love of learning.
Classroom Management: Maintaining a positive, productive environment using established school behaviour policies.
Assessment: Tracking pupil progress and providing tailored support to close any attainment gaps.
Summer Activities: Getting involved in the "fun stuff"-from sports days and local Shoreham field trips to summer performances.
Candidate Requirements
Experience: Proven track record of teaching in Key Stage 2.
Qualifications: Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Exclusion: Due to the specific requirements of this term-long placement, this role is not open to ECTs (Early Career Teachers).
