About the Role
As a Year 5 Teacher, you will be responsible for fostering the academic and personal growth of children at a crucial stage in their primary education. You will join a dedicated Key Stage 2 team, contributing to a positive and nurturing school culture. This role requires a creative and inspiring teacher who can deliver the KS2 curriculum effectively and manage a classroom with confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in core subjects (English & Maths) in line with the KS2 curriculum.
Teach a broad and balanced range of foundation subjects, bringing learning to life.
Effectively manage classroom behaviour to create a safe and productive learning environment.
Regularly assess, record, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback.
Provide excellent pastoral care and support to ensure the well-being of all students.
Develop and prepare engaging teaching resources and materials.
Build positive relationships and communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues.
Collaborate with the KS2 team and wider school staff on planning and school-wide initiatives.
Candidate Requirements:
Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Proven experience as a primary teacher, with experience in Key Stage 2 (KS2) being highly desirable.
Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.
A genuine passion for teaching and fostering a love of learning.
Strong understanding of the UK primary curriculum.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
