Randstad has an excellent opportunity available for a Youth Housing Officer / Housing Team Leader to join an established and growing organisation supporting Youth Homelessness throughout Northern Ireland. The ideal candidate will work across our Belfast or Newry locations to lead and manage a team of Support Workers, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality service that empowers young people leaving care to build the skills and confidence to maintain their own homes.

Requirements
- 3 years' experience of working with young people in supported housing or a similar environment OR a Degree in Social Work, Youth and Community Work or similar and 2 years' relevant experience
- Proven ability to manage and develop a team
- A full, current driving license with access to a car insured for business use
- Registration (or willingness to register) with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC)
- Understanding of young people who have left care or have high support needs
- Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting / compliance checks including an Enhanced Access NI check due to the nature of this work, this may include a Barred List check for both Children & Vulnerable Adults (depending on the role).
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Support Workers, providing formal and informal supervision
- Develop, implement and review rotas to ensure consistency of care and team wellbeing
- Participate in the management, planning and development of the Supported Housing Service
- Ensure Child Protection, Safeguarding Adults and Lone Worker policies are strictly implemented
- Manage service budgets effectively in partnership with the finance team
- Promote team learning through regular meetings, reflective sessions and development plans
- Maintain accurate records and databases in line with GDPR and statutory requirements
- Advocate for the housing rights of young people and ensure they receive appropriate benefits
