Rate of Pay: £33.30 per hour
The Role
As a Youth Justice Officer, you will manage a varied caseload, playing a crucial role in the assessment and supervision of young people. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Managing a caseload of children and young people who have offended or are at risk of offending.
Conducting comprehensive assessments, including AssetPlus, to understand the young person's needs and the factors contributing to their offending behaviour.
Developing and implementing intervention plans and supervision orders, working with the young person and their family to reduce offending.
Working collaboratively with a wide range of multi-agency partners, including the Police, Probation, schools, and health services, to ensure a coordinated approach.
Attending court and preparing reports for the Youth Court, including Pre-Sentence Reports and other statutory documents.
Promoting desistance from crime, supporting young people to engage in education, training, or employment.
Maintaining accurate and timely electronic records in compliance with statutory requirements and Youth Justice Board standards.
