Every year on March 8th, the world gets together to celebrate International Women's Day. It’s a global day that celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.

The theme for this year is Choose to Challenge: A challenged world is an alert world. Individually, we're all responsible for our own thoughts and actions - all day, every day. We can choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequity. We can choose to seek out and celebrate women's achievements. Collectively, we can all help create an inclusive world. From challenge comes change, so let's all choose to challenge.

At Randstad we’re celebrating International Women's Day (IWD) 2021 by highlighting our commitment to a gender balanced world. We actively support women in climbing the career ladder at all levels of our organisation across the globe with;

  • 56.1% females in management positions
  • 59% females in junior management positions
  • 47.5% females in top management positions
  • 66.7% females in management positions with revenue generating functions

Today we’ve launched a toolkit to help start conversations about International Women’s Day and how to get involved; from Ted Talks, the importance of male allies, to sharing career stories. We’ve also encouraged employees to share photos and videos around the #ChooseToChallenge theme. Thanks to Kilo, an employees four-legged colleague for getting involved too.
