your privacy is our priority.
When you visit our website or use the myRandstad app, we collect information related to your device, your browser, the way you navigate our content, and the profile information gathered when you use our app features. We are responsible for ensuring that all personal data entrusted to us is processed securely and in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.
What personal data do we collect and why do we need it?
Depending on how you interact with our website and app, we collect different types of personal data for specific purposes:
1. Managing our Website, App, and System Administration
- To diagnose technical problems, analyze traffic, and manage system administration, we collect Device Usage Data. This includes:
- The Internet Protocol (IP) address of your device and your Internet Service Provider.
- Device type (unique identifiers), screen resolution, and operating system/browser versions.
- Geographic location (country only) and preferred display language.
- Date and time of access, the linking internet address, parts/pages visited, hyperlinks clicked, and materials downloaded.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest in managing our platforms, or consent where required by local mandatory law.
2. Web and App Analytics
We use the same Device Usage Data listed above to observe how visitors engage with our content, analyze trends, and optimize the overall user experience and quality of content (such as job postings) provided to you.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest in improving our platforms, or consent where required.
3. Providing Requested Content and Marketing
If you choose to download reports or whitepapers, subscribe to newsletters, or submit an inquiry, we will ask for Identification and Contact Data such as your name, e-mail address, job title, and company.
Once you engage in these actions and explicitly opt-in, we are able to relate your device and browsing data directly to you.
Legal basis: Consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time using the opt-out option provided in our communications.
4. Managing the myRandstad App
If you use the myRandstad app to search for jobs or manage your working relationship, we process:
- Identification and contact data: Name, address, phone numbers, citizenship, date of birth, gender, and digital signature.
- Authentication Data Passwords.
- App Usage/Feature Data: Shift scheduling, contracts, valid ID cards, tax forms, timesheets/absences, expense administration, payslips, payment overviews, and performance feedback.
- Note: Certain documents like payslips, contracts, and taxation documents may be considered special personal data and are given high protection.
Legal basis: Contractual or pre-contractual necessity to provide you with the requested services through the app.
5. Legal and Dispute Management
We may process personal data if law enforcement authorities require disclosure for an investigation, or if it is necessary for Randstad to defend its rights in a legal dispute.
cookies and web beacons
We use cookies—small text files saved on your device—to remember your actions and preferences (like language choices) so we can speed up your navigation and make your experience more efficient.
Additionally, our emails may contain a campaign-unique "web beacon pixel". This tells us if our emails are opened and verifies clicks on links or advertisements within the email. We use this to determine which emails interest you and to improve our campaigns. The pixel is deleted when you delete the email; if you wish to avoid this, you can choose to receive our emails in plain text rather than HTML.
