When applying for a job as a teacher, interview preparation is key; it can make the difference between getting your perfect role and any other role. For some, speaking at interviews can be easy and for others quite nerve racking. So we’ve put together some tips to help you prepare for that interview.

Teaching interview tips.

  • Arrive at the interview early, well rested and ready to engage
  • Know the job description inside out 
  • Research the school, so you are not caught off guard by specific questions about the school
  • Dress smartly and be confident 
  • Practice your answers beforehand
  • Don’t criticise a previous employer as this could give the wrong impression of you
  • Have some questions prepared to ask your interviewer, this shows you are interested
