keeping families together - supervision and support
We understand that providing support to families within the home can significantly improve an outcome for a child or young person, as well as providing some breathing space and avoiding escalations. We provide experienced staff to give oversight and improve understanding in often challenging and complex family environments and relationships. Our support here is not limited to the home, we are often called upon to provide support in hospitals for expectant mothers, unborn and new born babies. Our staffing ratios are flexible to meet the needs of the family or individual and can be mobilised within 1-3 hours across the UK.
- 30% of the support packages provided nationally have been requested for supervision and early intervention purposes.
-
foster care disruption support
With the number of foster carers decreasing, we acknowledge there are many reasons which can impact the success of a foster placement. Our staff teams provide much needed support by partnering with the social worker to understand the intricacies of the challenges being faced. The staff team follows a tailored plan of support to ease the challenges being experienced, providing support to both foster parents, siblings and the child or young person. Our staff contextualise the issues and challenges being faced for the local authority by providing detailed observations and reports.
- We have seen a 6% increase in the need for support for foster care disruptions from 2023-2024.
-
leaving care - staying close to support independence
We have supported many care leavers who require additional support in developing confidence preparing them for their journey as they leave care. This can include support with day-to-day tasks, developing and sustaining routines and structure, guidance with accessing tools to manage their finances and improving their self-confidence to make decisions and understand the consequences of them.
-
In 2024 over 30% of the young people we supported involved activities and developing decision making confidence to support them leaving care.
-

stabilising high-risk placements: a crisis intervention.
A 21-year-old male faced a critical placement breakdown due to extreme behavioural challenges, including aggression and property damage, which previous providers could not safely manage.
We implemented a high-intensity 3:1 all-male staffing ratio and introduced non-physical de-escalation techniques, such as the "triangle" method.
This strategic intervention eliminated property damage and facilitated a successful transition to a long-term secure clinical setting in Dundee.

We achieved a successful transition into a permanent tenancy with full community integration and zero choking incidents recorded after the first two months.

complex clinical care: delivering proven ROI.
A local authority in Midlothian required a sustainable model for a high-stakes clinical package involving 12-hour nightly nursing support for complex diabetes.
We transitioned the care to a dedicated "small-team" model of four consistent Registered General Nurses (RGNs), ensuring 100% care plan continuity.
Our approach delivered £70,000 in annual cost savings for the council while recording zero clinical incidents over nearly a year of support.
