Project Ripon filled 94% of jobs overall with an initial 95% of required within 3 weeks.

When a North-West NHS Trust were struggling to fill complex service roles such as IV therapy, Randstad generated a dedicated candidate pool to fill these roles.
This quickly developed into supporting a new ward along with annual leave, sickness, and maternity cover.
We currently service 23 district nursing bases and have a dedicated candidate pool of over 65 Community Nurses that meet their geographic and skillset requirements.

Randstad was chosen as the main supplier for the Trust’s Nursing Staff requirements in October 2019, implementing an MSP model (Master Vendor) for the supply of Nursing and Healthcare staff.
Since November 2019 Randstad has fulfilled 85% across all roles with off-contract spend falling from 50% to 15%. Our long-term plan is to drive this down to 0%.
65% of the Trust’s new staff have been hired through our referral scheme and this has been beneficial for specific roles such as Healthcare Assistants.

We placed nurses from band 5 to band 8a with a 7-year partnership across 23 district nursing bases in Southport.
- Our staffing categories also included NHS admin staff and Allied Health Professionals.
- We provided weekly comprehensive MI reports detailing our performance against agreed SLA/KPIs, distributed to all Locality Managers and the Head of Nursing.
- A monthly Q&A session was also held with Locality Managers to discuss Randstad service delivery performance, worker performance and to forecast nurse staffing requirements for future months.
- Our candidate pool coverage a large volume of Community Nurses with various skillsets to meet demand.
- The support also expanded to the opening of a new community ward.

We provided same/next day facilities management recruitment for Cleaners, Catering, Domestic Supervisors, Ward Hosts, Patient Ambassadors and Porters.
The initial project saw 88 roles requested on a Friday, to commence on the Monday. Our recruitment team worked extended hours over the weekend and filled 48 of the 88 positions. In another location, 18 of 22 roles were filled within 12 hours.
In the first 48 hours, we had filled 107 bookings with Serco.
