About the Role:
- Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues on complex safeguarding cases involving adolescents.
- Conduct thorough and timely assessments, developing and implementing effective safeguarding plans.
- Mentor and support junior social workers, promoting best practice and professional development.
- Lead on complex cases, often involving multiple agencies and challenging circumstances.
- Participate in multi-agency meetings and contribute to strategic decision-making within the team.
- Contribute to service development and improvement initiatives, ensuring continuous quality improvement.
Requirements:
- Registered with Social Care England.
- Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience as a qualified Social Worker. Significant experience in adolescent safeguarding is essential. Proven experience in a supervisory or advanced practice role is highly desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures relating to adolescent safeguarding.
- Excellent assessment, communication, and case management skills.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with young people and their families.
- Commitment to person-centered practice and ethical standards.
