Advanced Practitioner - Children in Care / Cared For Children
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Advanced Practitioner Social Worker to join a dedicated service supporting Children in Care/Cared For Children. This is a key role within the team, focused on delivering high-quality, relationship-based social work that promotes safety, stability, and positive outcomes for children and young people.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, relationship-based social work to children in care
- Provide expert guidance and oversight on complex and high-risk cases
- Model best practice and support consistent, child-centred decision-making
- Work collaboratively with families, carers, and multi-agency partners
- Strengthen assessments, care planning, and review processes
- Act as a practice leader, offering coaching and reflective support to staff
- Contribute to a positive learning culture and practice development
To be considered for this role, ideally you will have:
- Recognised Diploma / Degree in Social Work
- Social Work England registration
- Significant experience working with Cared For Children
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, care planning, and statutory frameworks
- Ability to support and develop the practice of other social workers
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
