Job Summary
Join our client, a leading engineering firm, and play a crucial role in the aerospace industry. As an Assembly Operative in the Pipes department, you'll be part of a team that provides pilots with a critical form of defence. Our client is the world's leading manufacturer of ejection seats, and their mission is simple: to save aircrew lives.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you'll be responsible for a variety of tasks in the production of pipes for seat assemblies. This includes cutting pipes, setting and operating bending machines, and hand-fitting pipes to precise specifications. You'll also conduct quality inspections to ensure all products meet our high standards, as well as monitor the tools and equipment you use.
Characteristics & Skills
We're looking for a dedicated team player with a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate will have:
- Broad experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- A basic manufacturing or engineering background.
- Knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures, including COSHH regulations.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with SAP (desirable).
- A mechanical apprenticeship (desirable).
