The Role: Impact, Inclusion, and Innovation
Working closely with the Lead SENCO, you will be a key driver in delivering high-quality provision for students with complex needs and low attainment.
- Curriculum Development: Assist in shaping and delivering a bespoke curriculum for learners with EHCPs, focusing on practical learning and literacy.
- Operational Leadership: Support the creation of "One Plans," maintain vital SEND documentation, and lead statutory processes such as Annual Reviews.
- Collaborative Practice: Act as a central point of contact for parents and external professionals to ensure a truly holistic approach to every child's education.
- Quality First Teaching: Use your expertise to mentor staff and ensure that inclusive teaching practices are embedded across the school.
What You'll Need
- Primary/KS2 Expertise: We are specifically looking for a professional with a secure understanding of KS2 pedagogy to support students transitioning into a secondary environment.
- Proven Track Record: Experience working with SEND students in a mainstream setting, ideally with knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.
- Strategic Mindset: The ability to analyse data, set clear targets, and adapt to changing circumstances with resilience and a calm approach.
