The Opportunity
We have a fantastic opportunity to join a phenomenal, global Electrophysiology (EP) business that is advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies. Our innovations in atrial fibrillation allow patients to restore their health and truly get on with their lives.
The UK EP team has a strong track record of nurturing talented graduates into expert, clinically-focused Field Technical Engineers. We are now looking for two enthusiastic graduates from a relevant scientific discipline to join our team.
As a Trainee Clinical Specialist / Associate Field Technical Engineer, you will undergo extensive, world-class training. Ultimately, you will be responsible for providing expert in-procedure support and guidance on our advanced EP portfolio within the clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Support: Provide expert clinical consultation, teaching, and in-procedure support on the use of all EP products and their application in hospitals.
- Market Expertise: Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of current and new therapies, technologies, and competitor devices, alongside a general understanding of the UK healthcare market.
- Commercial Collaboration: Provide technical support to the EP salesforce, conduct product presentations, respond to technical questions, and support external industry events.
What You'll Need
- Education: A BSc in a science-related degree (e.g., Biomedical Sciences, Clinical Physiology, Sports Science, or Biology).
- Knowledge: Strong foundational knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
- Flexibility: A willingness to travel up to 75% of the time across your assigned territory and the ability to work autonomously.
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to confidently present to clinical professionals.
- Licence: A full, valid UK driving licence is essential.
- Prior work experience with medical devices or electrophysiology products is fantastic, but not required-full, comprehensive training will be provided.
Work Pattern
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 7.5 hours per day (37.5 hours per week total)
- Breaks: 30-minute daily lunch break
