Job Summary:
Drive revenue growth by selling listed and OTC commodities derivatives to institutional and corporate clients. Understand client needs, provide market insights, and build strong relationships. Deep understanding of commodity markets, derivatives, and risk management is crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
Commodities Derivatives Sales (freight, metals and energy)
Client Acquisition: Identify and connect with institutional investors, corporates, hedge funds, and asset managers; build a prospect pipeline through networking, referrals, and research; analyze market trends for opportunities.
Client Relationship Management: Build long-term relationships; understand client goals and risk appetite for tailored solutions; provide informed advice on derivatives and strategies; share updates, research, and trade ideas.
Sales Execution: Present derivatives products highlighting benefits and risks; coordinate trade execution; negotiate pricing and terms; stay updated on industry trends and regulations.
Risk Management: Collaborate with risk teams on transaction risks; ensure regulatory and policy compliance; educate clients on risk management.
Market Research & Reporting: Conduct research for trends and product ideas; prepare reports on client activity, sales performance, and market insights.
Qualification/Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CAIA) are a plus.
Experience:
Minimum 7-10 years experience in sales or client management within commodities or financial markets.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of commodities and derivatives products; Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; Proven ability to build client networks and close deals; Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; Proficiency with financial software and trading platforms; Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
