About the Role:
As our banksman, you'll be essential in ensuring the safety of both the public and our site personnel. This is a multi-faceted role that requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage a variety of tasks in a dynamic environment. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Public Safety: Maintaining a constant watching brief to manage public pedestrians in proximity to ongoing construction works.
- Traffic Management: Conducting Banksman duties to manage all car and vehicle movements in and around the site.
- Access Control: Managing access to the car park, ensuring only authorised personnel and vehicles are on-site.
- Site Management: Placing and maintaining all traffic management equipment and signage.
- General Duties: Providing general labouring support as required.
- Communication: Liaising directly with sub-contractor supervision and site management to ensure all operations run smoothly and safely.
Requirements:
We need someone who is:
- Experienced: Proven experience as a Banksman or Traffic Marshall on a construction site.
- Safety Conscious: Has a strong understanding of site safety and a proactive approach to it.
- Must hold a valid CSCS card and a Banksman/Traffic Marshall ticket.
- Reliable: Punctual, reliable, and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A Team Player: Able to communicate clearly and professionally with a range of people, from the public to site management.
