The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Worker to join a fantastic team in Leeds. This is a full-time, temporary position with an immediate start, offering a unique opportunity to work with some of our most deserving, harder-to-reach students. You will be a vital part of a supportive network, working with small groups and on a one-to-one basis. Crucially, you will never be alone; you will always be working alongside at least one other member of staff, ensuring you have the support and collaboration you need to succeed. Your calm and composed nature will be key to building trust and fostering a positive learning environment.

Requirements
... - Experience working with young people, particularly those with behavioural challenges
- An understanding of special educational needs (SEN) and emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs
- A clear and enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Eligibility to work in the UK

Responsibilities
- Supporting students with challenging behaviours in line with school policies
- Working alongside teaching staff to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment
- Implementing and monitoring individual behaviour plans
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to students
- Encouraging and motivating students to engage in their learning
- Reporting and recording student progress and incidents
- Building positive relationships with students and staff
- Acting as a mentor and a source of stability for students
- Assisting in the preparation of learning materials
- Attending meetings and training sessions as required
