About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and dedicated Biology and Applied Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Leeds. Requirements:
... - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- A thorough knowledge of the current UK curriculum and examination boards relevant to Biology and Applied Science.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (Willingness to apply for one)

- Excellent subject knowledge in both Biology and Applied Science.
- The ability to design and deliver creative, engaging, and challenging lessons.

- A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
Responsibilities
- Planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality and well-differentiated lessons.
- Assessing student work and providing timely, constructive feedback to support learning.
- Maintaining accurate records of student attendance and academic performance.
- Providing pastoral support and guidance to students.
- Managing a safe and productive classroom environment.
- Contributing to the development of schemes of work and curriculum materials.
- Collaborating with other members of the science department to share best practices.
- Attending staff meetings, training sessions, and parent-teacher evenings.
- Upholding the school's values and policies.
- Contributing to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities.
