We're partnering with a 'Financial services' in their search for a Business Analyst to support their team and contribute to their financial strategy. This is a one year temporary role, offering hybrid working and based in London. This role is paying up to£200 to £233 per day PAYE for the right candidate
About the Role
As the Business Analyst, where you will take ownership of daily margining activities across Fixed Income Repo and Discretionary Lending. You will play a critical role ensuring all transactions are fully collateralised and comply with relevant legal agreements, supporting both bilateral and triparty arrangements. This role is integral to the Business & Client Services (BCS) team and offers exposure to dynamic collateral management operations.
What You Will Do
... - Ensure all CFG clients and counter parties are fully collateralise and marked to market in line with GMRA, GMSLA, or other legal agreements.
- Serve as the key point of contact for the CFG desk on collateral-related queries.
- Manage and agree margin calls for both bilateral and triparty arrangements.
- Oversee instruction and settlement of bilateral and triparty margin settlements.
- Complete all daily margining tasks accurately, adhering to company processes and procedures.
- Participate in portfolio reconciliations and resolve margin disputes with counterparties.
- Investigate margin settlement fails, liaising with clients and internal teams to resolve issues promptly.
- Navigate the organisational structure efficiently to expedite issue resolution.
What You Need to Succeed
Must-have:
- Solid understanding of Equities, Fixed Income, Triparty arrangements, and basic trading strategies.
- Strong working knowledge of major triparty agents.
- Excellent knowledge of Securities Borrowing & Lending and Repo processes.
- Experience with Nostro and Depot reconciliations.
- Proven track record in developing Straight Through Processing (STP) solutions.
- Familiarity with regulatory regimes such as CASS, Transaction Reporting, MiFID II, and EMIR.
- Calm, logical approach to problem-solving under pressure.
- Ability to handle Front Office and client demands professionally.
- Strong individual contributor and effective team player.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience implementing new systems.
- Advanced Microsoft VBA and Excel skills.
- Understanding of GMRA and GMSLA legal terms governing margining.
- Familiarity with vendor platforms such as Pirum, Equilend, and TriResolve.
- Proficiency in FIS APEX, GLOSS, and Acadia Margin Manager.
