Senior Business Development Lead - Environmental Compliance (Water Safety)

Package: £45k - £50k Base +OTE | Company Vehicle
The Opportunity:
- Are you a specialist in Water Hygiene and Legionella compliance ready to lead a high-growth service line?
- We are representing a Tier 1 Building Safety & Technology Group headquartered in Plymouth. Known as a market leader in fire and electrical compliance, they are now strategically scaling their Water Hygiene & Legionella Inspection division.
- This is a high-impact, office-based role for a "heavy hitter" who wants to leverage a massive existing public-sector framework to drive new service revenue.
The Role:
- Market Penetration: Identify and secure new contracts for Legionella Risk Assessments and Water Hygiene monitoring, focusing heavily on Social Housing and Local Authorities.
- Commercial Strategy: Take full ownership of the sales cycle, from initial prospecting to high-value tender submissions.
- Technical Advocacy: Act as the subject matter expert on ACOP L8 and HSG274 requirements for key clients.
- Collaborative Growth: Work alongside an elite bid team and operations department to ensure seamless contract mobilization.
Candidate Profile:
- The Expert: You must have a demonstrable track record in selling Legionella testing or water hygiene services.
- The Networker: A strong understanding of the public sector procurement landscape (Social Housing/Tier 1 Contractors) is highly desirable.
- The Anchor: You are comfortable with an office-based, 5-day-a-week commitment in Plymouth, serving as a central pillar for this growing division.
- The Closers: You have a history of meeting and exceeding £1M+ annual revenue targets within the compliance sector.
