About the Role:
As a Children and Families Social Worker, your responsibilities will include:
Undertaking initial assessments and direct assessment of needs and risk in relation to children and families.
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families' needs, risks, and strengths.
Developing, implementing, and reviewing child protection plans, care plans, and permanency plans.
Providing direct work and support to children, young people, and their families.
Managing a diverse caseload, ensuring all statutory requirements are met.
Participating in court proceedings, preparing reports, and giving evidence as required.
Undertaking crisis intervention and managing complex situations with sensitivity and professional judgment.
Job requirements:
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent
- Child protection qualification
- Member of the Scotland Social Services Council (SSSC)
- Member of the PVG scheme
- The ability to work independently, and show excellent organisational skills
