Job Description:
Durham County Council is seeking a skilled and motivated Assistant Team Manager to support the Children Looked After Team. This is a key leadership role focused on delivering high-quality services and achieving positive outcomes for children and young people in care.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Team Manager in the day-to-day management of the team, ensuring effective service delivery.

Provide supervision, guidance, and support to social workers and other team members.

Oversee complex cases and support decision-making around care planning, safeguarding, and permanency.

Promote a child-centered approach and ensure the team works in accordance with statutory duties and best practice.

Contribute to performance monitoring, quality assurance, and continuous improvement within the team.


Requirements:

Social Work England registration.
