If so, Randstad are recruiting for a Children Social Worker to join the Herefordshire Council for Assessments Team. This is a full-time role offering up to £40k annually.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- We are looking for experienced Social Workers to help us on our improvement journey. Come and join us on our Restorative Journey of Improvement to gain the best for children and families in Herefordshire.
- Working within the Assessment Team, you will work directly with children and families, alongside other staff within the Directorate and partner agencies. Ensuring referrals are responded to in a child focused and timely way, you will carry out assessments and investigate concerns so that a decision can be made regarding the most appropriate support for the child and family.
- You will be fully qualified (DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent), with a minimum of 2 years' experience in statutory social care. With honed skills in assessment, report writing, and managing a complex caseload, you will be dedicated to improving the lives of children and families within Herefordshire.

As a Social Worker you will:
- Be registered as a social worker with Social Work England.
- Hold a Degree, Diploma, C.S.S, or C.Q.S.W to be qualified in Social Work practice.
- Have awareness and understanding of current legislation and guidance and their impact on the adult social care profession.
- Have knowledge of undertaking person centred, strengths based, outcome focused, assessment, care management and review.
- Have the ability to undertake Safeguarding Enquiries commensurate with training and post qualifying experience.
- Have the qualification or potential to undertake courses in Practice Education, Best Interest Assessor, and/or Approved Mental Health Professional.
- Have the experience of working in partnership with other agencies to ensure safety and support independence.
Requirements:
- Social Work England registered
- Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience as a qualified social worker.
- Social Work Degree or equivalent
- Enhanced DBS
