This role is specifically for those with a heart for children's residential and family services, offering the flexibility of agency shifts with the reward of making a real difference.
The Role & ResponsibilitiesAs a Support Worker, you will be instrumental in delivering essential support for bespoke care packages. You will play a vital role in supporting families within their homes and the wider community.
Youth Focus: Provide specialized support for young people experiencing crisis or trauma.
Behavioral Support: Confidently manage challenging behaviors with empathy and professional restraint techniques.
Community Based: Work directly within families' homes and local Cambridgeshire communities.
Safeguarding: Maintain rigorous safeguarding protocols at all times to ensure the safety of minors and vulnerable adults.
Flexibility: Adapt to various shift patterns, including short days, long days, and waking nights.
Please Note: Due to the shift requirements (minimum 2 shifts per week), we cannot accept Student or Skilled Worker visas.
Experience: Minimum 6 months of UK experience in children's residential home services or family support.
Documentation: Enhanced Child & Adult DBS (on the Update Service) is essential.
Training: Valid Mandatory Training and PMVA/Restraint certificates are required.
Right to Work: Unrestricted right to work in the UK. No sponsorship provided.
Qualifications: While not mandatory, a relevant childcare or social work qualification is a major plus.
