The Role
In this position, you will manage a complex caseload within a supportive and forward-thinking environment. You will be responsible for navigating the journey of children through the care system, ensuring their voices are heard and their long-term needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Permanence Planning: Developing and implementing robust long-term care plans, including Foster Care, Kinship Care, and Adoption.
Caseload Management: Maintaining a dedicated caseload of children and young people, providing consistent support and advocacy.
Duty Cover: Participating in the team's duty rota to respond to urgent needs and ensure service continuity.
Court Work: Preparing high-quality reports and providing evidence for Children's Hearings and court proceedings.
Multi-agency Collaboration: Working closely with schools, health professionals, and legal teams to wrap support around the child.

Requirements
A degree in Social Work (BA, BSc, DipSW, or equivalent).
Active registration with the SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council).
Proven experience within Children and Families Social Work, specifically in long-term or permanence settings.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to handle the emotional complexities of permanence work.
