Location: Inverness (Office-Based) Work Pattern: Full-Time | Compressed 4-Day Week Available
Are you a dedicated Social Worker who loves the Highlands but craves a better work-life balance? We are looking for a skilled practitioner to join our Children & Families Team in Inverness.
This isn't your standard 9-to-5 grind. We recognize the intensity of front line child protection and support, which is why we are offering a compressed 4-day working week. You get the long weekends you deserve, while providing the consistent, face-to-face support our families need during your time in the office.
The Role
Working in the heart of Inverness, you will manage a diverse caseload focused on improving outcomes for children and young people. Your expertise will help navigate complex family dynamics, conduct robust assessments, and implement effective intervention plans.
What you'll be doing:
Conducting Section 17 & Section 47 investigations.
Managing Child Protection plans and Looked After Children (LAC) reviews.
Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure holistic care.
Maintaining high-quality case recordings and attending Children's Hearings.
Why This Opportunity?
The 4-Day Advantage: Work your full-time hours over four days and enjoy every Friday (or Monday) off.
Team Presence: While we offer flexibility in when you work, we value a strong office culture. You'll be surrounded by a supportive team for real-time supervision and peer collaboration.
Stunning Location: Based in Inverness, you have the capital of the Highlands at your doorstep-perfect for those who love the outdoors.
What You'll Need
Qualification: Degree in Social Work (BA, BSc, DipSW, or equivalent).
Registration: Current SSSC registration (or equivalent UK body).
Experience: Proven track record within a Children & Families statutory setting.
Relocation/Commute: Ability to be office-based in Inverness for your working days.
"We believe that to take care of families, we have to take care of our Social Workers. Our compressed hours model is designed to prevent burnout while maintaining the highest standards of care."
