About the RoleAs a Children's Support Worker, you'll be a vital part of our commitment to providing a safe and supportive space for children. Your day-to-day will involve:
- Offering compassionate support to children with diverse needs, including emotional and behavioural challenges, autism, and learning disabilities.
- Helping children develop essential life skills and boost their overall well-being.
- Putting care plans and behaviour management strategies into action, tailored just for them.
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for everyone.
- Keeping accurate records of progress, incidents, and observations - the details matter!
- Working hand-in-hand with colleagues, families, and external agencies to ensure the best holistic care.
- Responding to challenging behaviours with patience, professionalism, and a whole lot of understanding.
- Upholding the highest standards of care and championing all safeguarding policies and procedures.
To be our next superstar Support Worker, you'll ideally have:
- A valid full driving licence and a reliable vehicle for getting around the North East.
- Essential experience working in Residential Children's Homes and supporting children who have experienced childhood trauma.
- Flexibility to travel up to an hour to Gateshead, Sunderland, Newcastle, or Durham, and availability for both day and night shifts.
- A commitment to working at least 3 shifts per week.
- Proof of your Right to Work in the UK.
- Up-to-date mandatory training certificates, PMVA training, and an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service.
- The ability to provide employment references covering the last 3 years.

Key Details:
- Experience: 1 year minimum experience in the UK as a support worker
