Job Title: Clerical Officer

Salary: AG8 - £29,137
As a Clerical Officer, you will be responsible for day-to-day administrative work to ensure high-quality service delivery across various directorates and business areas within Parliament Buildings. Staff can be appointed to any office within the organisation and may subsequently be transferred to other business areas as required.

Essential Qualifications
Applicants must, by the closing date for applications have:
- 1. GCE 'A' level grade A*-C in 2 separate subjects and 5 GCSEs grade A*-C including English Language and Mathematics. Applications will be considered from applicants with formal qualifications of an equivalent or higher standard to those stated; and at least 2 years' experience in an administrative role of:
- a) Using effective oral and written skills to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people at all levels, including team members, members of the public, customers and managers.
- b) Organising workload and giving attention to detail to produce accurate, high quality work to deadlines. c) Effectively using Microsoft Office to prepare documents and respond to correspondence. OR
- 2. At least 4 years' experience in an administrative role of each of the essential criteria described at a) - c) above.
Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Provide high-quality customer service to internal and external customers, offering accurate information in a professional manner by referring to organisational policies.
- Administrative Support: Deliver timely administrative support, including diary management, filing, photocopying and managing electronic mailboxes.
- Data & Information Management: Input data and maintain databases, spreadsheets and electronic/hard-copy filing systems to ensure effective document storage and retrieval.
- Meeting & Event Support: Organise meetings and visits, issue papers, order hospitality, greet external visitors and record key information/timings to support minute production.
- Financial Administration: Check and process invoices for payment through electronic payment systems.
- System Operations: Utilise Microsoft Office and bespoke internal Assembly software systems to gather, collate and prepare official documents.
