The Opportunity We are seeking a visionary Commercial Director to lead the financial and contractual strategy for one of East London's most significant infrastructure projects. This is a high-profile leadership role requiring a blend of rigorous commercial governance and the ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships across local authorities and Tier 1 contractors.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Full accountability for the project's commercial lifecycle, ensuring maximum value for money and strict adherence to budgetary constraints.
Risk & Opportunity: Oversee the project risk register, implementing mitigation strategies for complex urban engineering challenges.
Contract Management: Lead the administration of NEC4 suites, managing high-value claims, variations, and final accounts.
Supply Chain Excellence: Drive procurement strategy and manage performance across a diverse supply chain.
Reporting: Present monthly CVRs and financial forecasts to the Project Board and external stakeholders.
What You Bring
Proven experience as a CD or Head of Commercial on major highways or civil engineering schemes.
Expert-level knowledge of NEC4 contracts.
The gravitas to influence at the executive level.
