... - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (Willingness to apply for one)
Essential Skills
- Deep knowledge of Computer Science theory and Business principles.
- Using student performance data to inform interventions.
- Excellent verbal and written skills for engaging students, parents, and staff.
- The ability to pivot lessons based on real-time student understanding.
- Working effectively within a department to share best practices.
- Staying motivated and positive in a fast-paced educational setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across Computing and Business.
- Foster a classroom culture aligned with the core values of Resilience, Integrity, Trust, and Ambition.
- Assess and mark student work regularly, providing constructive feedback.
- Prepare students for national examinations (GCSE, BTEC, or equivalent).
- Develop and update innovative Schemes of Learning.
- Monitor and report on the progress and attainment of all assigned students.
- Act as a Form Tutor, providing pastoral care and support to a dedicated group of students.
- Participate in departmental meetings to contribute to the Subject Development Plan.
- Collaborate with the Inclusion team to support students with additional needs.
- Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) and peer observations.
