Job Title: Counterbalance Forklift Driver
Location: Ashford, Kent
Contract Duration: Ongoing / Long-Term
Pay Rate: £17.00- £19.00per hour (dependent on shift pattern and pay type)
About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced and reliable Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join a busy warehouse/yard team based in Ashford.
This is a full-time, ongoing role offering regular hours, stable weekly pay, and the opportunity for permanent placement for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a counterbalance forklift truck safely and efficiently around a busy warehouse/yard environment.
- Unloading incoming deliveries from HGVs and loading outgoing vehicles for dispatch.
- Stacking, moving, and organizing palletised goods and raw materials safely in storage bays.
- Performing daily pre-shift safety checks on the forklift and reporting any mechanical issues.
- Assisting with general yard duties, manual handling, and keeping loading bays clean and hazard-free.
Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift License (RTITB, ITSSAR, or equivalent accredited body-must be in-date).
- CSCS card
- Minimum 1 year of proven experience operating counterbalance trucks in a fast-paced environment.
- Good spatial awareness and a strict commitment to health & safety procedures.
- Strong work ethic, punctual attendance, and clear communication skills.
- Ability to carry out manual handling and yard duties when required.
Working Hours & Benefits
- Hours: Monday to Friday.
- Overtime: Weekend and evening overtime opportunities available.
- Pay: Paid weekly via CIS, Umbrella, or PAYE direct.
