Job Title: Cover Supervisor (Secondary)
Location: Basildon, Essex
Salary: £110 - £120 per day (DOE)

Are you looking to gain valuable, hands-on experience leading secondary classrooms? Randstad Education is seeking proactive, enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join a bustling secondary school in Basildon. In this role, you will take charge of classes during short-term teacher absences, ensuring pupils stay focused and complete set work in a well-managed environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead pre-planned lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 in various subject areas.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and expectations.
- Collect and organise completed work to return to subject departments.
- Assist pupils with general learning queries and keep them on-task.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience managing groups of young people (e.g., sports coaching, TA work, youth work, or tutoring).
- A confident, approachable classroom presence and strong communication skills.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and high reliability.
- Valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to process one).
