We are delighted to be bringing on board proactive, level-headed Cover Supervisors to join secondary schools across Bootle (L20). If you have a background in support work, youth mentoring, sports coaching, classroom assistance, or academic tutoring, your real-world communication skills are exactly what local schools need to keep classrooms running smoothly when regular staff are away.
Key Duties:
- Lead pre-planned lessons efficiently across various subjects during teacher absences.
- Deliver engaging educational content while keeping students focused and on-task.
- Maintain strong, positive behaviour management in line with school policies.
- Support student learning and foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
- Complete accurate attendance registers and report back to core teaching staff.
Requirements:
- Proven prior experience working directly with children or young people.
- High level of confidence in whole-class management and communication.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
