Are you looking for a rewarding role in education without the demands of planning and marking? We are seeking confident, adaptable Cover Supervisors to support various secondary schools.
This is an ideal opportunity for those looking to gain classroom experience, career-changers, or those who simply enjoy the variety of supporting different subjects every day.
The Role at a Glance
Location: Secondary schools across the Brixham and Plymouth area.
Hours: Roughly 08:30 - 15:30 (Term time only).
Flexibility: Full-time and part-time "adhoc" roles available to suit your schedule.
The Task: You will lead classrooms and manage student behaviour while students complete work set by their regular teachers.
What We Are Looking For
While QTS is not required for this role, we are looking for individuals who can command a classroom with a positive and firm presence.
ECTs Welcome: A fantastic way to stay in the classroom and see different school settings while looking for your first teaching post.
Education Background: Experience working with teenagers (e.g., coaching, youth work, or previous school roles) is highly desirable.
Confidence: The ability to manage a classroom of 30 students and ensure they stay on task.
Versatility: You could be in a Science lab in the morning and a PE hall in the afternoon!
Key Responsibilities
Delivering pre-prepared lessons across various subjects.
Maintaining a focused and safe learning environment.
Managing student behaviour in line with school policies.
Assisting students with any questions regarding their assigned work.
