About the role
We are seeking a committed and adaptable Cover Supervisor for a full-time position starting in September 2025 in a thriving and forward-thinking secondary school in Leeds. You will play a vital role in supporting classroom learning by delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring continuity of education in the absence of teaching staff.

Requirements:
... - Experience working with secondary-aged children or young people.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Delivering pre-prepared lessons to classes across KS3 and KS4.
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively and professionally.
- Monitoring student engagement and maintaining a productive atmosphere.
- Ensuring all students remain on task with their assigned work.
- Acting as a positive role model at all times.
- Following the school's safeguarding and behaviour policies.
- Recording any incidents or issues during cover lessons.
- Liaising with teaching staff about lesson plans and feedback.
- Responding to student queries during lessons.
- Supervising students during transitions between lessons.
