The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable individual to join our team as a Cover Supervisor. This is a crucial role that involves supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that students remain on task with the pre-set work. The successful candidate will be a key part of our pastoral and academic support system, helping to maintain a consistent and productive learning environment for all our students.

Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people.
- A full DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities
- Supervise students in the absence of their regular teacher.
- Ensure students are engaged with and completing the set work.
- Manage student behaviour in line with the school's policy.
- Answer basic questions and provide support to students.
- Maintain a safe and orderly learning environment.
- Communicate any issues or concerns to the appropriate staff member.
- Take the class register.
- Foster a positive and respectful classroom culture.
- Adhere to all school policies and procedures.
- Provide feedback to the returning teacher on the class's progress.
