The Customer Service Adviser will provide exceptional customers service to all our customers while ensuring smooth operational processes. You will process orders, manage customer data, and liaise with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
You will play a key role in supporting the operational efficiency of our business while maintaining strong customer relationships and your attention to detail and proactive approach will make a real difference every day.
What you'll do:
- Deliver excellent service to new and existing customers via phone, email and other channels..
- Accurately enter orders, customer data, and product specifications into company systems (ERP/CRM) in a timely manner.
- Process pre-calculated orders for distribution, ensuring compliance with delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with Operations, and Transport teams to confirm stock availability, schedule deliveries, and manage special requirements and delivery schedules.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding orders, ensuring customers are kept informed of any delays or issues.
- Resolve issues such as delayed deliveries, stock shortages, or incorrect orders efficiently. escalating where appropriate
- Support the Customer Experience Manager with reporting, administrative tasks, and continuous process improvements.
- Contribute to a culture of safety, quality, and professionalism in line with company values.
Essential skills:
- Previous experience in a customer service, order processing, or office-based operations role.
- Strong IT literacy, including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Desirable skills:
- Experience in the construction or manufacturing sector - an advantage although not essential
- Knowledge of building materials, cladding, or construction processes.
- Experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Sage, or similar).
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
