Our client, a leading facilities management provider, is looking for a Decontamination Engineer for a static hospital site in the Portsmouth area. This is an opportunity to join a dedicated engineering team responsible for vital equipment maintenance. This is a full-time, permanent position based on a shift pattern.
Package will include:

Main duties will include:
Supporting the provision of 24-hour maintenance services across the Hospital Estate.
After a period of training, diagnosing faults to repair and maintain a range of complex decontamination equipment.
Carrying out weekly process control testing and planned preventative maintenance on all decontamination plant, including Automated Endoscope Reprocessors, Washer Disinfectors, Porous Load Sterilizers, and Reverse Osmosis Plants.
Working effectively as part of a rotating shift pattern, which includes day shifts, late shifts, and one weekend in four.
Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
Complying with all instructions relating to Health & Safety, security, and confidentiality.
Undertaking any other reasonable tasks and duties relevant to the post.
The candidate will need:
A Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline.
Relevant trade experience in a maintenance or service engineer role.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to your work.
Good communication skills.
Ideally, the candidate will also have:
City & Guilds Test Person qualification for HTM2010 (Washer Disinfectors) and HTM2030 (Steam Sterilizers).
Previous experience working within a hospital or sterile services environment.
