Key Responsibilities:
As Deputy Head of Science, you'll be a key player in shaping the direction of our Science department. Working closely with the Head of Science and senior leadership, you will:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership within the department
- Develop and implement an engaging, inclusive Science curriculum
- Support and mentor teachers to deliver outstanding lessons
- Monitor student progress and implement effective intervention strategies
- Champion high standards, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Contribute to whole-school initiatives and decision-making
Requirements:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Science professional who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has a strong background in teaching and leadership within Science
- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is passionate about raising achievement and nurturing talent
- Has in-depth knowledge of the Science curriculum and assessment frameworks
- Can provide two recent professional references
- Holds an Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service)
- Has eligibility to work in the UK (Please note: sponsorship is not available for this role)
