Are you an experienced and passionate Early Years professional looking for a rewarding opportunity? We're seeking a dedicated Deputy Room Leader to join our vibrant Under 2s nursery room, starting in late August.
As Deputy Room Leader, you'll play a crucial role in the smooth running of our Under 2s room, working closely with the Head of Nursery and Room Leader. Your primary focus will be to provide exceptional care and support for our young children within a welcoming, safe, and stimulating environment.
What you'll be doing:
- Collaborating with parents, carers, and professionals to champion the well-being of every child.
- Implementing and championing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Assisting with the completion of 2-year checks and reports, ensuring comprehensive child development records.
What we're looking for:
- A minimum of Level 3 qualification in Early Years or higher.
- At least two years' experience working specifically with children under the age of 2 years.
- A strong, practical working knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills to ensure the smooth operation of the room.
- The ability to manage, motivate, and act as a positive role model for the team.
- While not essential, a knowledge of the independent school sector would be an advantage.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is committed to making a real difference in the lives of young children.
Working hours and benefits:
This is a full-time, all-year contract position, working 45 hours per week. Your working hours will be:
- Monday: 8:15 am - 3:45 pm
- Tuesday: 8:15 am - 6:00 pm
- Wednesday: 7:30 am - 3:45 pm
- Thursday & Friday: 8:15 am - 6:00 pm
We offer 20 days of annual leave plus all usual statutory holidays.
