Job description- Deliver engaging and effective Design Technology and Food Technology lessons to students up to Key Stage 4/GCSE level.
- Develop and implement high-quality lesson plans that cater to diverse student needs and learning styles.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success.
- Effectively collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure student well-being.
- Maintain a well-managed and safe classroom environment that encourages a productive learning space.
- Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support their learning.
- Participate actively in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to the overall development and improvement of the school's Design Technology and Food Technology curriculum.
We're looking for you, if:
- You hold a relevant undergraduate degree in Design Technology, Food Technology, or a related field.
- You possess UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or are working towards obtaining QTS.
- You have a proven track record of successful classroom teaching, demonstrating engaging lesson delivery and classroom management skills.
- You possess strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Design Technology and Food Technology.
- You are committed to safeguarding children and promoting their well-being.
- You are willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
- You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport with students and colleagues.
- An interest in engineering is highly desirable.
