We're working with a number of fantastic secondary schools across Liverpool seeking inspirational Design & Technology Teachers to join their teams this September.
These schools are committed to hands-on learning, innovation, and preparing students for real-world design and engineering careers. If you're passionate about product design, resistant materials, CAD/CAM or food tech and love to see your students create, design, and build, this is the perfect opportunity.
As a DT Teacher, you will be delivering practical and theory-based lessons to KS3 and KS4 students across various DT specialisms. You will guide students through the design process, encourage problem-solving and creativity, and help them develop the skills to turn ideas into functional and impressive outcomes. You'll be responsible for preparing resources, maintaining a safe workshop/classroom environment, and inspiring students through real-world applications and projects.

Key Duties:
- Teach DT across Key Stage 3 and 4 (product design, graphics, textiles or food technology).
- Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory lessons.
- Prepare materials and ensure health and safety compliance in all practical work.
- Encourage innovation, critical thinking, and independence.
- Support students through project-based assessments and coursework.
- Contribute to enrichment activities and school events.
Skills and Requirements:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching DT in UK secondary schools.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply).
- modelling and manufacturing.
- Encourages creativity and lateral thinking through open-ended design tasks.
- Working knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment.
- Practical workshop experience and classroom management skills.
