Randstad Education is currently seeking an enthusiastic Drama Teacher to join a vibrant creative arts department at a secondary school in Great Yarmouth. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Engaging Drama Lessons: Plan and teach lively, practical Drama sessions across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE), exploring script analysis, improvisation, stagecraft, and performance techniques.
- Full Teaching Duties: Take full ownership of your classes, including curriculum planning, pupil assessment, and tracking progress to ensure students achieve their potential.
- Build Student Confidence: Create an inclusive, supportive studio environment where pupils feel safe to perform, collaborate, and express their unique ideas.
- School Productions & Clubs: Assist with extra-curricular drama clubs, school plays, and local arts events to enrich the wider creative culture of the school.
- Maintain Studio Standards: Ensure drama spaces and staging equipment are used safely, while maintaining clear, positive behaviour management.
Candidate Profile
We are searching for a dynamic, articulate educator with strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for theatre education.
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Drama within a UK secondary school framework.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate students of all confidence levels.
- Strong classroom and practical studio management abilities.
- Holds an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to process one through Randstad).
