We are excitedly looking for a DT Teacher to join one of our secondary schools in Liverpool.
We are looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status: QTS, ECT, or equivalent.
- Someone with knowledge in Resistant Materials, Systems, or Product Design.
- Strong classroom management skills to keep the workshop focused.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply).
Key Duties:
- Deliver high-quality DT lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Manage and maintain all workshop machinery, tools, and CAD/CAM equipment.
- Inspire students to solve real-world problems through innovative design.
- Ensure every lesson follows strict Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.
- Track student progress and provide constructive feedback that builds confidence.
- Prepare students for success in their GCSE and vocational practical exams.
- Collaborate with the department to refresh and modernise the curriculum.
- Foster a tidy, respectful, and high-functioning environment for all "makers."
