Engineering Teacher (Liverpool)
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Engineering Teacher to join one of our schools in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic educator to inspire the next generation of engineers. The role involves teaching across Key Stage 3 and 4, with a focus on practical and theoretical aspects of engineering and design technology.
Pay: £150 - £220 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in Engineering and Design Technology to students at KS3 and KS4.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with national standards and prepares students for relevant qualifications.
- Inspire and motivate students through hands-on projects, practical workshops, and theoretical lessons.
- Assess, track, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and problem-solving.
- Manage a classroom and workshop effectively, ensuring the safety of all students during practical tasks.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the department and across the school to share best practices and contribute to the wider school community.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in engineering and technology to keep lessons relevant and impactful.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree or relevant qualification in Engineering, Design Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching Engineering and/or Design Technology in a UK secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for STEM education.
- Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities.
- Outstanding communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
