Education is currently seeking a dedicated English Teacher (QTS) to join an encouraging secondary school in Great Yarmouth. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Engaging English Lessons: Plan and teach stimulating English Language and Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE) aligned with the UK National Curriculum.
- Full Teaching Ownership: Take charge of full class responsibilities, including lesson preparation, constructive marking, and tracking attainment to boost pupil outcomes.
- Cultivate Communication Skills: Create a dynamic learning atmosphere where students feel confident exploring complex texts, debating ideas, and improving their written expression.
- Support All Ability Levels: Differentiate instruction effectively to stretch high achievers while providing structured support for students developing their core literacy skills.
- Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with departmental peers to refine schemes of work, share resources, and support extra-curricular literacy activities.
Candidate Profile
We are searching for an articulate, creative educator with a genuine enthusiasm for English and strong classroom leadership.
- Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.
- Demonstrated experience teaching English Language and Literature within a UK secondary school framework.
- Strong classroom management techniques grounded in positive reinforcement and high expectations.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills for working with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Holds an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to process one through Randstad).
