English Teacher | Sefton

Exciting opportunities for talented English Teachers to join a group of welcoming and supportive school communities in Sefton. We are looking for individuals with a proven track record of delivering excellent results and a commitment to inspiring every pupil, regardless of their background or ability. This position involves teaching English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for A-Level teaching for the right candidate.

Our schools are covered by a combination of L and PR postcodes. This includes South Sefton and the coastal towns of Bootle and Crosby (L20-L23), Central Sefton areas like Maghull (L30-L31), North Sefton and the town of Formby (L37-L38), and the main postcodes for Southport (PR8-PR9)..

We offer a competitive daily rate of £150 - £220 per day, depending on experience.

Core Responsibilities:

High-Quality Teaching: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective English lessons for secondary school students.
Raising Attainment: Implement strategies to improve student outcomes and foster a deep appreciation for the subject.
Pastoral Care: Provide guidance and support to students, promoting their well-being and personal development.
Communication: Effectively communicate with parents, carers, and colleagues regarding student progress and well-being.
Extra-Curricular Involvement: Participate in or lead extra-curricular activities, such as debating clubs or school plays, to enrich student's learning.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential.
A relevant degree is required.
Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for English.
The ability to build strong rapport with students and motivate them to achieve their full potential.
Excellent classroom management skills.
A proactive and flexible approach to teaching and learning.
