Position: SEN English Teacher
Shift: Full-Time
Location: Liverpool
Start Date: September
Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
Delivering engaging and differentiated English literacy programs tailored to diverse learners with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, SLD, and PMLD.
Creating and adapting teaching materials to suit individual learning styles and developmental needs.
Assessing student progress using alternative literacy milestones and frameworks.
Collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including SENCOs, therapists, and other support staff.
Maintaining detailed records of student progress and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Creating a safe and encouraging classroom environment that fosters positive student relationships.
Utilizing a range of teaching strategies and resources to meet diverse learning needs.
Assisting with personal care needs as required, depending on student needs.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Have legal authorization to work in the UK (no sponsorship provided).
Possess a current enhanced DBS check (or be willing to obtain one).
Have proven experience teaching SEN students in UK schools (minimum 1 year).
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Possess a strong understanding of different SEN needs and adaptive teaching methodologies.
Be a team player with a collaborative and supportive approach.
Be passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with additional needs.
