Randstad Education is seeking a full-time or part-time English teacher to work at one of our partner schools in Birmingham. We are looking for someone who is passionate about their subject and wants to deliver exciting, creative lessons. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing outstanding lessons to secondary students, maintaining excellent classroom behaviour, and using their initiative to ensure every lesson is engaging and well-differentiated.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience of teaching English to a high standard.
An enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
The legal right to work in the UK.
Essential Skills and Qualities:
Exceptional subject knowledge, including a deep literary knowledge and a strong command of grammar, syntax, and vocabulary.
The ability to model clear, compelling, and correct writing.
Fantastic communication and organisational skills.
Outstanding behaviour management.
Patience and empathy to support diverse learners.
Main Duties Include:
Lesson planning to design engaging and effective lessons that meet curriculum standards.
Classroom management to create a positive, organised, and inclusive learning environment.
Providing meaningful assessment and feedback to help students achieve great things.
Effectively managing support staff within the classroom.
