As an English and Cover Teacher, your day will involve:
Delivering engaging English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).
Providing high-quality general cover across other subject areas when required, ensuring students remain on task and focused.
Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with individual school policies.
For long-term roles: actively planning, preparing resources, assessing pupil work, and participating in departmental progress meetings.
To join our Plymouth teaching pool for September, you must meet the following:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (QTLS with SET membership).
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt quickly to different school cultures.
An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or the willingness to apply for a new one through Randstad).
A professional, reliable, and proactive approach to supporting student learning.
